A FCM Sponsored Child’s Life: The Story of Miguela

Miguela and Fullness in Christ Ministries

Miguela will be a success in life because she has faith that God will provide for her needs.

This is Miguela, age 15. She lives with her father and two siblings in a tent. Her mother left them. She sometimes looks for discarded bottles and sells them to have a little allowance for snacks at school. Miguela knows that without the help of a Fullness in Christ Ministries (FCM) sponsor she could not go to school. Her two siblings have not been able to go to school because there is not enough money to pay the required expenses.

Here is a letter we received from Miguela yesterday:

I believe that true happiness can be found only in God’s presence. Since I came to know Jesus, I realized that there’s more joy inside of me when I’m busy in doing God’s work than being with my friends outside the church. In school, I never miss joining our activities because it add points to my scholastic records belonging to the higher section, but never would I miss all the activities in our church, especially during our 21 days of prayer every morning in our church from 4:30 a.m. – 6:00 a.m.

It needs love and commitment to do this as a student, but because Jesus is my priority, I am persistent to finish this 21 days of prayer and still continue for another 52 days. And that’s why I am not surprised that God had given me all the blessings that I asked from Him.

Aside from being one of the teachers in the feeding ministry, I also lead cell groups among the sponsored scholars in the Caritas Village, and I’m so blessed because they always attend our cell group and also go to church every Sunday.

I’ve just graduated from my SOKB (School of Kingdom Builders) and hoping to help as assistant teacher next enrollment, because I know God called me to the ministry and it started when I became a scholar, sponsored by FCM.

Thank you very much sponsor for all your support. There’s one thing I need to ask from you. Please help me pray for my father that he also would go to church with us and be saved. God bless.

If you have ever wondered if sponsoring a child in a foreign country really makes a difference, think about Miguela and what her life as a beautiful 15 year old uneducated young woman would be if it were not for a sponsor. As a sponsor, you really will make a big difference in a child’s life. Pray about it. If God speaks to you about making a difference for a child, you can sign up to become a sponsor at Fullness in Christ Ministries‘ web site at FullnessInChristMinistries.org.
