Raising A Nation of Leaders in the Philippines

A Philippine Red Cross trainer and FCM pastor, Rudy Esic, speaks to a group of young people about being crisis counselors and helping families and children during disaster events.

What influence does Fullness in Christ Ministries have within the communities?

More than 700 high school students in a large city in the Philippines came for training led by the Philippine Red Cross. Many Fullness in Christ Ministries (FCM) sponsored youth were part of the training. Rudy Esic, one of our FCM pastors, was part of the training which included prayer and preaching.

We are proud that our youth could be such a vital part of this training. A few years ago, when massive flooding devastated this city, many of our young people were trained as crisis counselors and were used to bring hope to many families. They were especially effective with the younger children who were traumatized by events, such as the destruction of their homes during the floods.

Our young people from FCM are being trained to lead cells in their high schools. God is using them to bring many children to salvation; and then, these same youth are discipling the others through the cell groups. It is amazing to think of where these young people came from and to see how they have grown in body, mind, and spirit.

We have an opportunity to affect the destiny of children in places where terrorism is a part of life.  The younger we reach them, the better chance they have to become productive members of the community and friends of freedom.  The children of poverty need food and clothing.  They also need education.  In many developing nations where there is so much extreme poverty, children of the poor do not go to school because their families do not have the money required.  The lack of education makes them vulnerable to anyone who promises a better life. In regions where terrorist bands are active, children, especially boys, are actively recruited with promises of food, new shoes, even guns. The boys interpret it as an opportunity to be someone important.

How can one person affect change in the Philippines?

You can be part of giving hope to some very poor children in the Philippines. Your gifts help feed the very poorest of children in body (food), mind (education) and spirit (the Gospel of Jesus). Instead of growing up to be scavengers, beggars, or terrorist, these children grow up to impact their society for the Lord Jesus and you are a vital part of that impact.

God has promised that He will bring transformation to the Philippines and He will use many of the children and youth who have been sponsored and supported by FCM Partners, Sponsors and Friends.

Fullness in Christ Ministries currently sponsors almost 900 poorest of the poor children in the Philippines. Sponsors, working through FCM, change the lives of children forever. The sponsorship program provides what the children need to attend school, including school uniforms, shoes, and nutrition and food supplements.  Every child also has a pastor who cares for them and teaches them how to live as victorious Christians who become productive members of the community or even the nation.  They become warriors in the Kingdom of God, or else they could be recruited by local terrorists and grow up to become enemies of God.

Would you help us reach into this darkness with the light of God’s love? You could sponsor a child for as little as $30 per month, and change that child’s life forever, by going to Sponsor A Child to sign up.
