600 Children Sponsored — School Begins Next Week

Children Receiving New Shoes

These very happy sponsored children all received new shoes for school. Thank you Sponsors!

School in the Philippines begins next week.  We are rejoicing that we will be sending 600 very poor children to school.  Thank you, sponsors, you are the ones who have made this possible.

These children and young people have been given a chance to break the cycle of poverty into which most of them were born, as were their parents and their parents before them. Instead of scavengers, they will be business owners, teachers, nurses, pastors, politicians, soldiers and policemen.

There is still time to include more children!  If you have been thinking about sponsoring a child but have not done so yet, it is not too late.  There are still many children waiting and hoping for someone to help them go to school.  You can still get in on this blessing and put a big smile on a child’s face.  Go to Sponsor A Child.

Enjoy with us some notes recently received from our pastors about some of the sponsored children:

Jeffrey. Age 11.  From the day he knew someone would sponsor his schooling, he has been so excited, especially when he found out he will be receiving his school supplies on Saturday.  He always comes for Bible study and to church on Sunday.  The aura of his face shows the glory of GOD.  His whole countenance has changed.

Recca. Age 9.  Since Recca was included in the sponsorship program, she keeps on smiling.  She is very happy about receiving her new school supplies.  She said it’s the first time she had a new bag.  She always used a plastic sack that someone at the supermarket gave her.  And it is the first time she had a new pencil and crayons and did not have to use old ones from someone else.  She said, “Thank you LORD for my sponsor” (Salamat Ginoo sa akong sponsor).

Renamie. Age 9.  Renamie was smiling the whole time after knowing that she had been sponsored.  She almost cried because of too much joy.

Joshua. Age 10.  Joshua is a good kid. His father just died late last year and his mother has no job. The family grieved and was in the saddest point of their lives. But, God has been their comfort and they are doing well.  We all pray for Joshua and his family. Joshua wants to be a pastor some day.

To sponsor a child is only $30 a month / $360 for a year for each child.  To have a life-changing impact on a life, go to Sponsor A Child.

Maybe you do not feel you can sponsor a child or a group of children, but you wish to help with ministry to them, you can give a gift online at Ministry to Children or Feed Hungry Children

If you prefer to send a check, make the check to “FCM,” and send it to Fullness in Christ Church, PO Box 136117, Fort Worth, TX  76136.  Attach a note letting us know your desire and that is how your gift will be used.  You will be blessed.

About kathybohlin

I am passionate about helping poor children in Philippines come to Jesus, get an education and become all God created them to be. Right now our ministry (Fullness in Christ Ministries) helps almost 900 of the poorest of the poor children in the Philippines. They are over seen by 24 national pastors whom we consider trustworthy and competent. There is accountability. I am single and contented with that. Also I want everyone to know how wonderful Jesus is!!
